Carry on Your Legacy of Giving

Making a planned gift to the Central Nebraska Humane Society is a meaningful way to continue helping lost and abandoned animals well into the future.

There are many options available to carry on your legacy of giving; here are a few of the most common:

  • Bequests - The most straightforward option for planned giving is to make a bequest through your will or living trust. You may choose for the gift to be a specific amount or a percentage of your overall estate. 
  • Naming CNHS as a Beneficiary - You may choose to list CNHS as a beneficiary on your retirement account, life insurance policy, or Certificate of Deposit. In most cases, you may choose the percentage you would like to be gifted to CNHS through this option. 
  • Gifts of Property/Real Estate - Gifts of appreciated property may be given to CNHS through a donor’s will or living trust.

After-Hours

Outside of business hours, please report Priority One animal issues to the Grand Island Emergency Center at 308.384.9380 to have them dispatch an Animal Control Officer. Priority One calls include animal bites, sick/injured animals, animal cruelty, and confined strays.
