- File a missing pet report with CNHS. This can be done online using one of the following links:
- Visit CNHS in person and ask to walk our stray kennels. While we do our best to identify lost animals on intake, we cannot guarantee that your animal will be identified, especially if they are not microchipped and are found without any other identifying tags. You know your animal best and are their greatest chance at being returned home. We recommend visiting our kennels every day or every other day as we intake multiple animals at all hours.
- Check the CNHS Facebook page for photos of recently intaken strays and check the corresponding Found page of our website from the list below. The pages list animals currently being held at CNHS and animals being held at a finder’s home:
- Continue to search your neighborhood for your missing pet. Often times, animals have not strayed far from home and are typically more willing to be caught by their owner than a stranger or Animal Control.
- Get the word out about your missing pet. Making flyers to post around the neighborhood and at local vet clinics, and creating posts on your social media pages are great ways to get the community’s help in finding your lost pet.
If your pet is missing from an area outside of Hall County, NE we recommend contacting the entity responsible for housing strays in your area. We do accept lost reports from any location, but it is best to have a report on file with your local organization as this is where your pet is most likely to turn up.
